A Picture is Worth 1000 Words, but I've got Words, Too.

Some of you may know I've been away from Robinson Central in Maine for the past two months. We rented a condo in Florida to be here for the birth of our second grandson Jakob Jason, whom we saw within hours of his arrival. Here he is now at 7 weeks:

I bought him his frog pjs. There are frog feet too. So adorable.

This was our view:

Not too shabby, eh? The sun rose over the Clearwater skyline, and most mornings I was awake to see it, up early and writing as is my routine. Here's an arial shot of Clearwater Beach:

I am very nearly done with the third London List book, Captain Durant's Countess, which was sold to Kensington Brava this month for publication sometime early next year. Yay! Sales are always good.

And speaking of good, February brought some good reviews for April's Master of Sin. Publishers Weekly: "Robinson (Mistress by Marriage) turns in an unusual Regency packed with drama...Despite the heavy secrets, the romance is unaffected and pure."

I have never been called "pure" before. And I don't have a picture for it, LOL. Here's what RT Book Reviews has to say: "Robinson crafts an intelligent, powerful, emotional, highly sensual love story with a damaged hero and an exceptional heroine, moving the story beyond the typical and into the unconventional. Readers will become so invested in the characters that the fast pace and heated sexual tension only add to the delight. Fine storytelling."

Now between fine storytelling and hugging Jakob I was supposed to eat healthy and walk every day. Did not happen. We discovered that the Clearwater Beach area has terrific restaurants and I think we visited every one of them. I did walk on the famed Beach Walk several times and got blisters from my new sneakers. That's my story and I'm sticking with it. But I did spend most afternoons in the sun, and I was able to remove a whole lot of books from my Kindle. I may have added to my wrinkles, but at least I was reading.

As you read this, I'm on a plane bound for snow and mud in Maine. Real Life beckons. Real Life is actually pretty good.

There is one more day to enter my February contest to win some fun Floridian things. You can enter here.

What's your favorite escape from Real Life?
