Kiss and Teal

Avon is doing an awesome campaign this September, which is known as National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, with their K.I.S.S. AND TEAL campaign where Avon will donate up to $50,000 towards programs that support ovarian cancer patients and their families.

The books involved are:

VISCOUNT BRECKENRIDGE TO THE RESCUE by Stephanie Laurens
THE SEDUCTION OF SCANDAL by Cathy Maxwell
THE DEED by Lynsay Sands (a repub but proceeds from this edition will still go to OCNA)
A NIGHT TO SURRENDER by Tessa Dare
IN THE ARMS OF A MARQUESS by Katharine Ashe
ONE NIGHT IN LONDON by Caroline Linden
STAR CROSSED SEDUCTION by Jenny Brown
SEDUCTION OF SCANDAL by Cathy Maxwell

Who can pass up such awesome books and for such a good cause?! Not me. I've read Cathy Maxwell's book and I simply loved it--I always love a Cathy Maxwell book. (This is why I don't allow myself to attend conferences--I would stalk--em, I mean, follow certain authors around.) Not that I would do that to Cathy or Loretta or SEP or Lisa Kleypas or anyone. No. Not me. *whistles innocently*

I haven't yet read a Katharine Ashe book, but I think I should remedy that since I've heard such fabulous things about her writing. And, um, who can ever pass up a new Tessa Dare book!!! (Which, by the way, puts awe in awesome.)

So go forth and buy, buy, buy.

I love all these authors and have read books by all of them and want to thank them all for supporting this cause.

My best friend died from this terrible disease but she is missed by so many people. She loved books so much that she became a manager of a bookstore. She promoted authors by setting up and advertising their signings. She supported teachers and had special fund raisers in the store and discounts for them so they could "stock" their classrooms. She loved children and set up a special section so they could read and "roam". She loved people and loved helping them find "just the right" book as well as encouraging them to try other genres.

Her love for reading is now being carried on by those teachers who are passing it on to their students, children who grew up to be parents and are passing it on to their children, and young and old who met her and now love to read.

Sheilah, we love and miss you and send our thanks to all the authors who are fighting for your cause.
