Back on Track

First, let me say— HAPPY CANADA DAY

I’m so excited to be able to blog today. Minor technical difficulties kept me off the computer and net last week. Withdrawal was not pretty. Anywho… since I was in a state of forced non-writing (I can’t write longhand for extended periods, nor can I decipher my chicken scribble when my wrists really start straining) and instituted back into domestic Goddess status—something I happily abandoned when I started writing—I did still manage to accomplish something for my writing… I did a lot of thinking on Jinan and a new book I’ll be working on as soon as I get some editing done on the last Lupiscoeur (Nick and Jocey’s story).

This thinking has been very good and refreshing since I hadn’t written a lot in the last month. And I’m happy to report I’m back on track and with a title to boot. No more of that surreal somnambulist feeling because I can’t get the characters out of my head and on paper—those crazy cats tend to keep me up at night. J

Hidden Beauty is the new working title, which I got from a lithograph, and I’ll share that later this week… I’ll probably keep referring to it as Jinan though.

So what would you do if suddenly your computer went kaputz? I washed my floors, shaved down the dog (Berners hate the heat let’s pretend I was doing him a favour, though he kept getting antsy when the shaver got close to his danglin’ bits), I watched some movies I’d been dying to see… Would have preferred to surf the net and tinker with my stories, but I’m back!

Do you mean what would I do AFTER I freaked out? LOL! I'd love to say that I would get all sorts of thinking and plotting done. Or that I would finally clean my apartment. But I know better.

I'd just watch more television. *g*

Kris, it's sooooo good to be back, and I love the title too :)

Ter, nice new avatar. And yeah, after you freaked out, I was pretty freaked out since the DH took my comp to get fixed and was SUPPOSED to COME HOME with it... instead, being a man, he calls me and says, oh it's staying at the store for five days! I did a little ranting and raving.

The new title is awesome, and yay for fixed computers!!!

I'd sleep and eat more. Which I do with a working computer. *g*

That sounds like something Scott would do. LOL! I hope it's all better now.

Great title!

I was without tv for two months last year. Then when that got fixed my computer died so not only could I NOT get online but I couldn't even use my computer to write. I know the feeling exactly! I ended up doing a lot of reading. And organizing.

You've already lived thru my computer nightmares! And here I am on vacation, shelling out $11.99 for 24 hours of internet access. I need to find a different addiction. I am, after all, in Sin City. Addictive behaviors abound! Tiff, I LOVE the title as you know.

Lovely title. I am somewhat computer crippled as my toddler has an unholy fascination with my keyboard and has twice managed to disable the space bar with her tiny, devilish little fingers. Our first true power struggle and she trumps me in cuteness so no one feels sorry for me.

Yes I get my comp back, and what do I do... pick a ginormous fantasy novel from my tbr pile and read all night and all day... It was a good book :)

Thanks all for the likin' of the title. :)
